Making Apple Pie Filling In Instant Pot
You can make a big batch of apple pie filling in Instant Pot. It stores well and can be used for multiple dishes. Melt butter on SAUTE setting in Instant Pot. Add chopped apples, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon. Stir well. Add ¼ water. Cancel SAUTE , close the lid and cook on high for 1 minute followed by natural pressure release.
What other kinds of desserts can you make with puffed pastry?
You can fill the puffed pastry with anything you want, but one of the most popular options is chocolate. Instead of folding over sheets to make a fruit tart for example, simply cut them into squares and spoon in some melted chocolate or Nutella before folding it back up again. You could also try using ganache instead if you don’t have chocolate on hand.
You could also use puffed pastry as a pie crust instead of regular flour dough if you wanted something lighter and crispier. Just pre-bake the shell for around 15 minutes to make sure it is nice and crispy before adding your filling.
Puffed pastry can be used for more than dessert.
