    • 📖 Recipe

Similar to our Chinese Spicy Green beans recipe, I use additional seasoning of minced garlic, sesame oil, tamari and rice vinegar to add a delightful flavors. These air fried beans, thus, are downright addictive. you will need to make multiple batches because, I am sure,  they will disappear too fast !

These roasted green beans are perfect for any occasion – from holiday dinners to potlucks and family dinners. I often pair them with homemade Lo Mein Noodles or Rice Noodles Stir Fry for easy take out style meals at home.

    Ingredients

Air Fryer Green Beans Recipe Ingredients.

Fresh Green Beans: I often buy a pack of fresh French green beans. They are tender and taste the best. If you use regular green beans, make sure to snap the edges well otherwise they taste chewy and woody.

Cooking oil: I like to season these green beans with sesame oil. It adds delicious earthy flavors. You can use any cooking oil including olive oil. Oil spray also works.

Seasoning : For super basic recipe, just salt and pepper is enough. It brings out the natural flavors of the green beans very well. To make these beans extra scrumptious, I made a simple Asian Marinade with minced garlic, red pepper flakes, tamari ( or soy sauce) and rice vinegar. This finger licking delicious sauce makes these green beans simply irresistible.

    How to Make

Prepare the beans : Trim both ends off the green beans and peel off any strings off the sides. You can do this by using the scissors or snap them by hand.

Prepare the marinade : In a bowl, whisk together sesame oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, tamari ( or soy sauce) and rice vinegar with salt and pepper.

Step 2 of preparing spicy Asian marinade for green beans.

Season the beans : Add the trimmed green beans to a bowl. Pour over the prepared marinade. Use tongs to toss and coat the green beans entirely.

Step 3 of adding seasoning to the green beans.

Air Fry : Place the coated green beans in the air fryer basket in a single layer. I use perforated parchment paper so the marinade doesn't drip off.

Air fry to your desired doneness. Typically it takes 7-9 minutes to make crispy green beans at 375 degree Fahrenheit. Open the air fryer and shake the basket halfway through, for even air frying.

Step of air frying the beans for desired crispiness.

Serve : serve warm with desired garnishes. Enjoy !

    Pro Tips

    1. Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket. Arrange the beans in a single layer. Proper hot air circulation is important to make evenly roasted beans.
    2. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to make this recipe in two batches.
    3. These roasted green beans taste their best when freshly made. Since this recipe can be done in just 15 minutes, I highly recommend you make them fresh. If you need to store them, add them to an airtight container and store in the fridge. The green beans should be good for up to 3 days.

These air fryer vegetables are perfect as a side for your holiday table. You can easily serve them as part of an easy weeknight meal as well. Some of my favorite main dishes include
