Frozen yogurt bark is the new viral TikTok recipe. Similar to Custard Yogurt Toast, it has become our household favorite for breakfast, snack and dessert.
To make this no-bake yogurt bark, we decided to use the red, white and blue color theme. Just like our Cheesecake Phyllo Cups, this frozen dessert makes a perfect treat for patriotic holidays like the 4th of July and Memorial Day celebrations!

What is yogurt bark ?
Yogurt bark is frozen sweetened yogurt topped with fresh fruit and granola. You spread it flat, freeze it and break it like a bark. Similar to our ever so popular Peppermint Chocolate Bark but in yogurt format.
Why we LOVE this Frozen Yogurt Bark Recipe
- Only uses 4 ingredients.
- Quick and easy to make; no cooking necessary.
- Great for getting kids involved in the kitchen.
- Use it for breakfast, dessert and after-school snack for the kids.
- Perfect for summer parties, holiday celebrations
I used my own favorite Homemade Granola. Do make a big batch of it. I know you are going to LOVE it too. But anything ready made store-bought also works.
Different fruits add a great pop of color and tangy taste to the frozen bark. It also is a tasty way to get some " 5 a day" fruit serving into your family’s diet.
Ingredients
Yogurt: I used homemade yogurt. Full fat Greek Yogurt works best. You can use vanilla flavored too.
Fruit: For the patriotic theme, I used fresh strawberries and blueberries. Frozen fruits work too.
Granola: My favorite homemade granola recipe. You can make your own or use any store-bought ones.
Sweetener : I used maple syrup to add bit of sweetness to the frozen yogurt.
Substitutions
You can use a variety of different fruits to make this yogurt bark. Cherries, mango, kiwi, raspberries, or peaches are great choices.
Besides the granola, add other toppings like coconut flakes, chopped nuts and seeds , and chocolate chips.
Agave nectar, honey, sugar or Stevia are great substitutions for maple syrup. You can skip using the sweetener altogether if you want to reduce the sugar intake.
How to make Yogurt Bark
- Mix the yogurt and maple syrup together.
- Spread the yogurt evenly over a prepared baking sheet lined with parchment or wax paper.
- Spread the chopped strawberries and blueberries on top. Sprinkle some granola over it.
- Freeze until firm. Then cut or break it as you wish and eat cold.
Pro Tips
Use a rimmed Tray. Make sure to use a rimmed tray that fits the freezer. Yogurt will spread until it's frozen. We don’t want a yogurt mess in your freezer.
Line your baking sheet. To remove the frozen bark easily from the rimmed tray, line it with wax paper or parchment paper. Otherwise, yogurt will stick to the tray while freezing and will be really hard to remove.
Allow time for the bark to set. Yogurt bark will take around 3 hours to fully set in the freezer. I often make it the night before. So it's ready to enjoy the next day.
Frozen bark does melt fairly quickly upon taking out of the freezer, so you’ll want to eat it as soon as it comes out. Don't thaw it.
Storage
Cut the bark into pieces and store in a zip-lock bag or airtight container. Add parchment paper so the pieces stay separate. It will keep well for up to 3 months.
