Ingredients
Super affordable and easy to find basic ingredients are highlights of this recipe.
- Corn : The star ingredient is sweet corn. I am using frozen 28 oz. bag of sweet corn kernels.
- Butter : The classic comfort food must have. Butter helps make the best velvety creamy sauce.
- Milk : I use whole milk to make the creamy sauce. It limits the excessive calorie count compared to using half and half or heavy whipping cream.
- Sugar : Just a tablespoon of sugar t balance the flavors.
- Cream Cheese : For the indulgent creaminess that coats the sweet corn. I used low fat cream cheese but you are welcome to use regular cream cheese as well.
- Seasoning : Super simple seasoning -just salt and ground black pepper. you can also add garlic if you like.

- Milk : For indulgent creamy texture, you can substitute whole milk with heavy cream. You can also use cheddar cheese to make it cheesy.
- Binding Agent – I am not using any flour or corn starch in this recipe. However, for extra thickness, you can use flour or corn starch slurry while cooking.
- To Make it Vegan : Use plant based, dairy free butter. Replace milk with plant milk like almond milk or oat milk and lastly, use coconut cream to replace cream cheese.
This will make gluten free cream cheese corn. Make sure to use certified gluten-free products.
