HEALTHY SALAD DRESSING
This delightful and savory sauce uses all natural ingredients. It is full of healthy fat, fiber and nutrients thanks to avocado and other wonderful ingredients.
Many creamy salad dressings are loaded in saturated fat and high in calories. It defeats the purpose of eating nutrients rich , healthy salad if you use those high calorie dressings with it.
This creamy salad however, is full of clean eating ingredients. It also is low calorie and no carb. You will enjoy the delightful salad with amazing taste.
Is It Sauce, Dressing or Dip?
This homemade avocado cilantro lime sauce is versatile in its use. You can use it as a sauce to serve along with the chips and fries. You can drizzle it as salad dressing. It is also useful as a savory dip.
I prefer not to heat the dressing or use it as a marinade. It tastes best when served at a room temperature or cold. Do not cook with it on heat.

One of my favorite recipes, Black Bean and Corn Salad uses this dressing. That salad is a super crowd pleaser. It is often requested at potlucks and picnics. This creamy and tangy salad dressing dazzles that salad.

EASY SUBSTITUTES AND SUGGESTIONS
If you don’t like cilantro, you can use fresh parsley or basil. However only use ½ cup since both parsley and basil are stronger in taste.
I prefer to make and use this dressing fresh. It tastes best when fresh as well. If you plan to keep it for extended periods of time, add a teaspoon of vinegar. It works as a preservative.
Can I Omit the Oil ?
For WFPB cooking , you can omit the oil. Add water for smooth blending. Even though oil helps to emulsify the dressing smoothly, it will be still creamy because of healthy avocado fats.
Is this Creamy Avocado Lime Sauce vegan ?
Yes ! This sauce is vegan. It is also dairy free and soy free.
Is Avocado Cilantro Dressing suitable for a gluten free diet ?
Yes it is. All ingredients used are naturally gluten free.

This recipe was excellent! I switched it a bit (left out the cumin and hot pepper). I used avocado oil and basil, more lime, and fresh garlic just picked from my garden. I will definitely be making this again and sharing the recipe with friends.

I love that this recipe doesn’t need yogurt or sour cream! I added twice the amount of lime juice, a tbsp of white vinegar, an extra 1/4 cup of water and 2 tbsp of olive oil, and its the perfect vinaigrette. Love this so much. I tried putting a little in the freezer so we will see how it turns out!

An amazing taste that compliments virtually EVERY salad. It is creamy, low in fat, and has such an amazing taste! I like to double it and use it for dipping fresh veggies if we get “peckish” during the evening. It is a good alternative to chips and fattening snacks.
