Hot days of summer call for homemade Mango Mocktail. Cool off with this refreshing Mango cooler drink or modified Aam Panna this summer!

Aam Panna is one of the most popular Indian summer drink made from fresh raw mango, mint leaves, and roasted cumin powder. It is loved by one and all across India. Mangos and summer are synonymous to me. The vibrant colors make you so cheerful and jolly!

To celebrate summer, we make this mango mocktail often. It tastes so tangy and pop on the palate that you too would have it on repeats. It instantly gives you that feel of island paradise right at home.

    Perfect Party Mocktail

When I invite friends over for dinner, I love welcoming them with special drinks, like this pretty perfect Mango Mocktail. It’s the perfect way to kick off the evening.

It let’s everyone feel relaxed and excited for the food and good times ahead! This easy and delicious drink is always a hit! A nice balance of all the ingredients tastes amazing!

    Easy Homemade Drink

This recipe for this mango mocktail is pretty straight forward. When it comes to homemade drinks, the sweetness and tang can be adjusted to taste. If you prefer it sweeter, add more sugar. If you like it sour or tart add some lemon juice or raw green mango.

That’s the best part about making mocktails at home, isn’t it? So easily customizable! Prefer to make it Margarita instead? Add generous serving of tequila and shake-shake-shake ! Frozen or on the rocks -make a choice and cheers to best healthy life !!

    Mango Mocktail

I only used one jalapeño slice in each drink so not to over power it with spicy hot flavors . The tiny tickling tinge it adds was perfect for my taste. If you like it on the HOT side, then by all means, add more jalapeño slices!

    Perfect Drink for the kids

When I’m hosting a party, I always make sure everyone feel special. That includes little tikes- the kids ! So mocktails will always be as decorated as alcoholic beverages. Why not, right? Plus it makes them feel included and special.

The rim of this drink is a simple mixture of kosher salt and paprika powder… the paprika powder adds a beautiful color without extra spice and it complements all of the flavors of the drink perfectly.

    Mango Mocktail

Let’s make this refreshing and tangy drink and raise our glasses to toast ! Shall we?

    Ingredients:

    • Mango – You can use either raw (green) or ripen (yellow/ orange ) mangoes to make this recipe. Adjust the sweetener accordingly.
    • Sweetener : If you use raw mango, you will need ½ cup extra sweetener. Since ripened mangoes are naturally sweet, you don’t need much. I am using raw sugar.
    • Flavoring : black salt  this pinkish grey rather than black in color salt adds a very distinctive sulfurous mineral taste
    • Roasted cumin powder – adds robust earthy flavor notes.
    • Pink salt : For garnishing the glass rim
    • Paprika powder for glass rim garnish.
    • Ice cubes
    • Fresh mint, jalapeño slices for garnish

How to Make Aam Panna in Instant Pot :

Carefully wash mangos and peel the skin. Add 1.5 cup water into the steel inner pot, add sugar and stir well. Place a steamer basket or the wire rack into the pot. Put the mangoes on top of the rack.

Secure the lid, close the pressure valve. Select Manual 5 minutes at high pressure. After it’s done cooking, Open the valve to quick release any remaining pressure -QPR

Allow the mangoes to cool down. Discard the mango seed at the center by giving the slits to the cooked mango. Mix the sugar mixture and mango pulp well together**

Place the pulp into a blender along with the 4 cups of water, black salt, roasted cumin powder and blend until smooth. Taste the drink and add more spices according to taste.

Moisten the rim of the glasses . In the plate, combine pink salt and paprika powder. Place each glass upside down on the plate so the rims gets coats of the salt paprika mixture.

Pour this drink into glasses with ice. Sprinkle cumin powder on top and garnish with a fresh sprig of mint and jalapeño slice! Enjoy chilled.

    Stove-top Directions:

Boil the mangoes and sugar in water for 20 minutes in covered sauce pan until tender. Rest of the procedure is the same as above.

I used both. Prefer it with slightly ripe mangoes. Fully ripe ones are lot sweeter so adjust sweetner accordingly

Well this is perfect timing! I am planning my birthday dinner right now and wanted a Margarita as a welcome drink – I love the twist on this one. I will be following your suggestion of a “generous serving of tequila” for sure 🙂
