Press SAUTE on the Instant Pot, and when it reads Hot, add butter ( or oil) . Once it melts, add chopped onion, peas and cabbage. Sprinkle some salt and cook until onions are slightly soft.
Hit CANCEL, and use some of the water to deglaze pot, if necessary.
Add the pasta, broth and the seasoning. Give it a quick stir. The broth won't cover the pasta, but this is fine.
Place the lid on the pressure cooker. Vent is in the Sealing position. Press MANUAL or PRESSURE COOK for 4 minutes. Pot will take a few minutes to reach pressure, then begin cooking.
When Instant Pot finishes cooking, wait to keep warm timer for 5 minutes then release leftover pressure by moving the valve from SEALING to VENTING.
When the pin drops, open the lid. Noodles will not be fully cooked, but start stirring everything together, and they will soften and cook as you mix them with the liquid from the pot.
Hit SAUTE and cook for 1 or 2 minutes to help reduce extra liquid if needed.
Scoop the pasta into a serving bowl or platter, and serve with garnishes as desired. Enjoy !
