Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven according to the crescent roll package instructions. Typically 375°F (190°C).. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the string cheese into 6 pieces.
Unroll the Crescent Rolls: Carefully unroll the crescent roll dough onto the flat surface. You can cut each triangle in the half (lengthwise) if you want to make smaller bread balls.
Stuff and roll : Roll the piece of cut string cheese in minced garlic and Italian seasoning. Place it in the middle of the triangle. Then the fold the dough around the cheese to make a ball. Repeat the process to make all the balls.
Arrange it in tree shape : Start off with a bottom base line of 5 balls. Then move on top by placing one less ball in each next layer. Work your way up the tree in the order of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Place 2 balls in the middle of the base line and two more balls below them to make a tree stem.
Create garlic butter mixture : In a small bowl, whisk the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese. Using a pastry brush, brush the entire surface of the Christmas tree with the garlic butter mixture.
Bake to Perfection: Follow the baking instructions on the crescent roll package, usually baking at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serve and Enjoy: Once out of the oven, transfer your Christmas tree pull-apart bread to a serving platter. Pair it with marinara sauce for dipping. Garnish it with fresh herbs and parmesan cheese. Serve and enjoy!
