- 2 cups Plain yogurt whole milk or low-fat yogurt
- 4 cups Cold water Adjust for desired consistency
- 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder Freshly roasted for best flavor
- ½ teaspoon ginger minced , add more for spicy
- ½ teaspoon black salt Kala Namak - Adds authentic flavor. Use regular salt if you don't have kala namak.
- ¼ cup fresh cut mint leaves or coriander leaves
- 1 pinch asafetida Hing , optional
