- 8 oz. round Brie Cheese wheel
- ½ cup prepared cranberry sauce homemade or store-bought
- Fresh rosemary or thyme for garnishing
Preheat the oven to 350 F. Line a baking sheet pan with parchment paper.
Remove the brie wheel from it’s wrapping and place onto the middle of the parchment paper.
Top the cheese wheel with the cranberry sauce. Add chopped fresh herbs if desired.
Bake at 350 F for 10-12 minutes, until the brie is soft and melty. You should feel liquid at the center for it to flow and spread smoothly.
Remove from the oven. Spread the cranberry sauce evenly on the top. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprig or other herbs on top and serve immediately,
Serve it with toasted baguette slices, crackers, sliced apples or pears and nuts.
HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE CRANBERRY SAUCE IN INSTANT POT
Combine 2 cups of fresh cranberries, 1 cup of raw sugar, 1 inch shredded ginger root and ½ cup orange juice into a 6-qt Instant Pot. Select MANUAL setting to high for 4 minutes. When finished cooking, let it release pressure naturally. Using a wooden spoon, mash the cooked cranberry mixture until most cranberries are popped and mashed.
HOW TO MAKE CRANBERRY SAUCE ON STOVE TOP
Combine 2 cups of fresh cranberries, 1 cup of raw sugar, 1 inch shredded ginger root and ½ cup orange juice. Heat it in saucepan on medium heat until cranberries start to pop about 15 minutes. Mash it well so it makes a thick sauce.
HOW TO MAKE BAKED BRIE IN PUFF PASTRY
Before baking, you can wrap the brie cheese wheel in the puff pastry sheet. Make a pocket and cover it all around. Bake for 15 minutes at 350° F. The crispy flaky pastry and warm melty cheese makes an irresistible combination.
