  • 2 ounces fresh grapefruit juice
  • ½ ounce lime juice
  • ¼ ounce agave nectar or simple syrup adjust to taste
  • 4 ounces sparkling water or club soda
  • Ice
  • 1 Jalapeno - thinly sliced and de-seeded for spice kick.. optional

Instructions

  • Mix the tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice and agave nectar into the glass. Add sparkling water or club soda. Fill the remainder of the glass with ice.
  • Take a sip and adjust sweetness to taste. Garnish with grapefruit or lime wedge. Drop a slice of jalapeno (if using) Serve and enjoy.

Notes

Since there is bitter and tart taste involved, you may need to adjust the sweetness of the cocktail. After you mix the drink, do the taste test. Adjust your cocktail so it perfectly balance the taste you like.
If you want to present it even fancier, rim your glasses with salt. Rub a
grapefruit or lime wedge around the edge of the glass. Dip the glass edges onto a small plate of salt.
To make this drink mocktail or virgin, skip the tequila.
