How to Make Creamed Corn in skillet on stove Top?

  • Warm up a large skillet on medium high heat. Melt the butter. Add corn and milk and mix well. Cover and let it cook for 15 minutes. Once the corn feels tender, add cream cheese, sugar and seasoning. Stir and mix well. Continue to cook till cheese is well incorporated. Transfer it to serving bowl . Serve and enjoy !

Notes

Storage and Reheating
Allow the creamed corn to cool completely before storing. Use airtight containers and store in the refrigerator for three to four days. Reheat on the stove or in the microwave.
Tips :
  • Prep time does not account for the time your pot takes to come up to pressure. These will vary a bit from individual to individual.  My Instant Pot took about 6 minutes to come up to pressure.
  • After opening the lid if you notice the creamed corn mixture is bit runny, you can put it back on SAUTE and cook further for few minutes. The creamed corn thickens as it cools down.
